LACE integration for Slack – Privacy Policy

1. Overview

LACE ("we," "our," or "us") provides a feedback and collaboration platform that integrates with Slack to help teams bring conversations and files into LACE. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Slack integration.

Important: LACE does not automatically import or monitor Slack conversations. Imports occur only when you explicitly choose a thread to import.

2. Information We Collect

Details include Slack workspace and user identifiers, imported message content, and authentication tokens stored securely with encryption.

Slack Data (workspace IDs, message content, metadata)
Authentication Data (OAuth tokens, installation info)
LACE Account Data (name, email, organization, activity logs)
AI Processing (feedback extraction via OpenAI API)
Processing & Analytics (usage metrics, caching)

3. How We Use Your Information

To import Slack threads and files you choose
To display context and status
To extract feedback using AI
To operate, secure, and improve the integration

4. Security and Storage

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and OAuth tokens are securely stored and rotated.

5. Data Sharing

We never sell Slack data. Data is shared only with:

OpenAI – for feedback extraction
Cloud hosting providers – under strict confidentiality

6. Retention

Imported Slack data is retained as long as it exists in your LACE workspace or until you disconnect Slack. OAuth tokens are deleted when access is revoked.

7. Your Rights

Disconnect Slack anytime
Delete imported items
Export your data
